Complementary
medicine stems from the belief that the body has an innate ability
to heal itself naturally. When this healing process is prevented
by stress and tension, a number of longer-term chronic ailments
and illnesses can develop.
My work as a holistic practitioner starts with an acknowledgement that we all function on a physical, mental and spiritual level simultaneously. Every individual is unique and it is important to tailor therapies to meet each person's needs. The holistic approach enables people to improve their health and re-establish the body's equilibrium, known as homeostasis.
In respect for the holistic approach, Holistic Concepts will refer a patient to another therapist if we feel that a different form of therapy would be better suited, either in addition to or instead of the therapies we offer.
